This is great Ross, congratulations on your growing self-awareness (we are all a work in progress our entire lives, some make more progress than others but that's OK).
Your words resonate with me around not caring what other people think....we have no control over others' thoughts, we don't know what they are thinking and it's none of our business anyway!
I studied NLP to the point of becoming a master practitioner so I understand about projecting ourselves onto others. Not a good idea, nor is taking things personally....it's about THEM not YOU!
I look forward to your future blogs and having dialogue around them.
Thanks John! That's it, it's a hard balance understanding life is a single player game and that doesn't mean in any way been selfish - but just taking accountability! I've not read much on NLP so would love to chat with you more about this
I really enjoyed reading this. Great decision. I'll be your loyal reader 😌🤞
I also want to thank you for once posting a picture before your holiday. I spotted a book on it, which I purchased straightaway (audio and now also paperback.. Daily stoic). I've listened numerous self-discovery, enlightenment, happiness...books and im noticing on myself- it does help. Look forward to reading your insights!
I'm on a journey to sobriety also, ups and downs (as we all do). I would like to know your story..😊
Hey Iva, thanks so much! The daily Stoic is such a good one. Get people to read out the one on their birthday when you have friends round - its a nice game and chat! I'll chat more about sobriety on here soon for sure :)
Love this. You don’t know me, but I’m an old mate of Dinesh’s from Sheffield. I met Leon once years ago. I big into all the stuff you talk about here, and I’ve loved watching you ‘come out’ so to speak! It’s hard to be honest and true and to really be yourself - online or offline. I’ve been learning about it and myself for years. I care so much less what people think of me now and damn am I happier. Looking forward to seeing what’s next for you, mate. Good luck!
Hey Rebecca. Yes it's hard to change habits and show yourself in new and honest ways for sure. I have desire to help and if I can through sharing stories and life whilst organising my own thoughts, then great! Definitely growth inducing and also breeds accountability - you have to live what you say. Great to hear you're caring less and are happier for it! It really is a personal battle that isn't worth the energy. Thanks for the comment :)
Awesome. There are many layers here... I love how you managed to dial it all in and bring it front & center.
I have years of art, music, poetry, etc tucked away that I should really bring to the light. But, I struggle with vulnerability - even though I know better. I also feel like new ideas are stymied until you purge the old stuff...if that makes sense.
I am so grateful to have stumbled upon your music and followed my intuition to dig a little deeper... definitely diving down the Ross Rabbithole 🐰🕳🤿 thank you for letting me be a part of your journey 🖤
